TRUST G-D? ONE STEP BACK, TWO STEPS FORWARD: Recap #2

RECAP

Several readers have asked how I went from hating being Jewish to falling in love with it. This section contains stories about coming to trust and love Hashem.

While once I fully rejected any idea of G-d, I now see Hashem as my very best closest everything  AND powerful beyond my wildest comprehension. Anyone can build this relationship; all that’s needed is DESIRE.

*Hashem is the word for G-d that many Jews use. It actually means NO NAME. The idea is that G-d is so beyond our rational minds, there is no adequate word.

WRAP UP
Well folks, that’s it for now on the G-d writings. There’s always more to explore of course.

One last thought. For anyone who feels down, or who’s ever felt down, I’ve heard it said to imagine Hashem there cuddling, holding and cradling us in whatever sadness we’re feeling. When I have felt down, this idea has brought great comfort.

And when I’m happy, I try to remember to thank Hashem for giving whatever joy I’m experiencing. I can imagine Hashem beaming and proverbially kicking up his or her heels!

Laila tov sweet friends.

  1. Linda Disselkamp says:

In rereading these posts, I now see how you came to believe in God, and it’s wonderful. I hope you have more to say about how you chose Judaism in general, and your temple in particular. (I’m being very generic about it, but am not sure how you will.)

    • Vivi says:

Thank you Linda. I am glad you felt a connection to these stories. I definitely plan to address your questions about choosing Judaism. I’ll write another post that links together the unfolding process. AND you’ve inspired me to think and write more about it going forward. 🥰

  2. Malka Goldshmid says:

I love how G-d comforts you in hard times and you remember to be grateful during the good times as well

    • Vivi says:

Thanks Malka! Writing this actually prompted me to connect with Hashem not just in the difficult times but in the wonderful times too! When things are going great, I sometimes forget! 💞
